History
The name Esdar has been associated with the region of East Westphalia since the 16th century. Family members have been successful in the trades for generations and built the roof of the Bielefeld Municipal Theater as carpenters almost 100 years ago, for example. It was from this heritage that Marianne and Karl-Heinz Esdar decided to found the Esdar Classic Vehicles company over 40 years ago.
Over the past decades, Marianne & Karl-Heinz Esdar have made a name for themselves internationally as leading classic car experts.
On 01.01.2024, the company was taken over by Lukas Schembecker and Matthias Esdar and thus handed over to the next generation. Lukas Schembecker has been working for Esdar Klassische Fahrzeuge as a master mechanic since the beginning of 2023 and has been co-owner, managing director and general representative since January 1, 2024. Lukas has spent his career to date at Mercedes-Benz and completed his master’s degree in 2022.
