The BMW M3 CRT (E90) is a strictly limited special model and combines the dynamics of the classic M3 with modern lightweight technology from motorsport. Only 67 units were built – all were sold within one day. The four-door sedan is powered by a 4.4-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine with 450 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. The 7-speed dual-clutch transmission enables extremely fast gear changes without interrupting traction.
Consistent lightweight construction with carbon and titanium
A key feature of the M3 CRT is the extensive use of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic, including on the hood, roof, seats and aerodynamic components. As a result, the vehicle weighs only around 1,580 kilograms – a remarkable figure for a saloon with a V8 engine. The titanium exhaust system also contributes to weight optimization and ensures a distinctive engine sound.
Exclusive design with unmistakable CRT features
The exterior appearance of the BMW M3 CRT is characterized by the exclusive paint finish in “Frozen Polar Silver Metallic” with red accents on the hood, side air outlets and spoiler elements. Other sporty features include the 19-inch alloy wheels in a special design, large air intakes at the front and carbon body details that support both the design and the aerodynamic efficiency. The typical radiator grille elements on the front of the vehicle are finished in matt black.
Equipment and low mileage of the M3 CRT
In the interior, the M3 CRT combines motorsport functionality with high-quality equipment. There are manually adjustable carbon fiber bucket seats at the front and two individual seats at the rear instead of a rear bench. The combination of black and Sakhir orange leather with contrasting stitching, Alcantara surfaces, aluminum trim strips and a model badge underlines the exclusive character.
